Irving Raphael is director of sports medicine/team physician for Syracuse University. Dr. Raphael is a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where he is now a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Academy of Sports Medicine, the International Arthroscopy Assiciation, and is board certified in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Raphael lectures frequently on issues related to sports medicine and student athletes. He specializes in arthroscopic and ligament reconstructive surgery. Michael Nancollasis a graduate of the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at SUNY at Buffalo Affiliated Hospitals, where he also completed a fellowship in hand surgery. A clinical instructor at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, Nancollas specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery, with a certificate of added qualification for surgery of the hand. Wayne Eckhardt is a graduate of the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse Colledge Medicine, where he remained for his orthopaedic training. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He practices general orthopaedic surgery with an emphasis in sports medicine, foot, and running injuries. Eckhardt is also an assistant team physician for the Syracuse University athletic program.
Carrie Allen Jones Carrie Allen Jones received her B.S. from Syracuse University and her M.D.from New York Medical College. She completed her residency at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. She specializes in a wide range of non-operative treatment of musuloskeletal pain and women's orthopaedic disorders.
Renee Melphi
Renée S. Melfi is a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Interventional Spine at LSU, and an Advanced Interventional Spine fellowship. She specializes in Musculoskeletal Medicine and non-operative spine diagnostics and procedures. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, International Spinal Injection Society, North American Spine Society, and American Academy of Pain Medicine. She is also the first and only female instructor for the North American Spine Society Spinal Injection Courses where she teaches physicians how to do injections.
Daniel C. Wnorowski
Daniel Wnorowski is a graduate of SUNY HSC School of Medicine, and its Orthopedic Residence program, and completed a fellowship at the Orthopedic Specialty (Sports Medicine) Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1990. He also has an M.B.A. from Syracuse University. Dr. Wnorowski is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Wilderness Medial Society. Richard DiStefano
Dr. Richard DiStefano is a graduate of the SUNY Upstate Medical Center where he remained for his orthopaedic residency. After finishing his residency, he completed a one-year spine fellowship at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Dr. DiStefano earned a chemical engineering degree from Yale. Dr. DiStefano specializes in spinal surgery and also practices general orthopaedic surgery including trauma fracture care, joint reconstruction and replacements, arthroscopic surgeries of the shoulders and knees, and hand surgery. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Robert Sherman
Dr. Robert Sherman is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed an Orthopaedic Surgical Residency at Upstate Medical University, and a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery/Total Joint Arthroplasty at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He practices general orthopaedics and specializes in Joint Arthroplasty, Fracture Care, Joint Arthroscopy with special emphasis on Hip and Knee Arthroplasty including Primary and Revision Joint Replacements; Salvage Options; Partial Joint Replacements; Hip Resurfacing; and Managing Fractures around Joint Replacements.
